Install the World Telescope

Do you want to see the same images that NASA scientists use for their research, or do you do your own research with these images? Or do you want to see the Earth from the point of view that astronauts see when they land on Earth? How about a 5 minute break և to see a view of another city? Install WWT եք start your search.

The following installation instructions refer to the Windows World WorldWide Telescope client, which was released to the public in the spring of 2008. We are currently testing the WorldWide Telescope web client version. For more information on web client preview, including a comparison of features between the two options, click here .

1. Review system requirements to make sure WWT can work on your computer.
2. Click Download.
   If Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or later is not installed on your computer, your mailbox
   displays a tip to install it. Click Yes to access the .NET Framework 2.0 SDK, Redistributables.
   & Package Update Page :
   • .NET Framework 2.0 SDK, Redistributables և On the Service Packs page, scroll to the .NET Framework version 2.0 Redistributable Package և click on the link corresponding to your PC և operating system architecture.
     Note: Most computers today use a 32-bit operating system և architecture. So you have to click on the icon
     Download the x86 version.
   • On the Microsoft .Net Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package page, check the system requirements to make sure all the necessary software is installed on your computer, then click Download .
   • Upload file - Security warning In the message field, click Run .
   • In the Internet Explorer security warning message box, click Run .
   • Follow the instructions to install the software.
   • After installing the program, click the Windows Update link to make sure all the latest service packages և security updates are installed. Click Express to view all recommended software և Follow the software installation instructions.
3. Upload file - Security warning In the message field, click Run .
4. In the Internet Explorer security warning message box, click Run .
5. Follow the instructions in the WorldWide Telescope Setup Wizard.
6. After installing WWT, double-click the WWT icon on the desktop to open WWT.

Minimum World Telescope System Requirements (for PC).

• Microsoft® XP SP2 (minimum), Windows® Vista® or Windows® 7 (recommended)
• Recommended for computers with 2 GHz or higher Intel Core 2 Duo processor
• 1 gigabyte (GB) of RAM; 2 GB RAM is offered
• 3D accelerated card with 128 MB (MB) RAM; Discrete graphics card with 256 MB of dedicated video memory, recommended for excellent performance
• 1 GB free hard disk space; 10 GB recommended for better offline և browsing functionality
• XGA (1024 x 768) or higher resolution monitor
• Microsoft mouse or compatible device for pointing or scrolling
• Microsoft® DirectX® version 9.0c և .NET Framework 2.0
• Required for some features; Internet connection at 56 Kbps or higher via your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or network. Internet access may require a separate ISP fee. Local or long distance charges may apply (Andre / Irawan.SIA)
